Going smart home pro with Homey
Homey has expanded its product line with Homey Bridge and Homey Pro.
Homey Bridge is an add-on for the free cloud based Homey smart home controller. It acts as a local bridge for your Homey cloud controller, giving you access to Zigbee, Z-Wave, WiFi, Bluetooth, IR and 433 MHz devices installed in your home.
Homey Pro supports pretty much every connection technology you could wish for; WiFi, Ethernet, Thread, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Infrared, 433 MHz, and Matter – the new technology that helps define what a device is and how to connect to it.
With the Homey smartphone app, you can receive notifications from sensors, doorbells, alarm systems, and thermostats – wherever you are. It also lets you easily manage, control and automate everything at home. Setting up devices, creating scenes or inviting new users: everything can be done from the palm of your hand, anywhere in the world. Everything runs locally, so even in case of an internet outage your smart home will still be working.
